The short version
- MerryBlood does not collect your data. Everything you record stays on your device.
- There is no account, no cloud, no analytics, and no tracking. The App makes no network connections of its own.
- We never see, receive, or store your health data — there is no server for it to go to.
- The only information that ever reaches us is what you choose to put in a feedback email and send to us yourself.

1Who is responsible
This policy applies to the MerryBlood application for Mac, iPad, and iPhone (the “App”) and this website (the “Site”). The data controller is Vadym Teslia, an individual sole proprietor based in Ukraine.

2The data you keep in the App
MerryBlood is built so that your information stays with you. The lab tests, values, dates, notes, and reference ranges you enter — including health-related information — are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage.
We have no access to this data. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the App, and there is no remote copy of it anywhere. You can view, edit, export, or delete it at any time from within the App, including a “Delete All Data” option that removes everything.
3What we collect
From the App itself, we collect nothing automatically. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising, no usage tracking, no crash-reporting of our own, and no account system.
The only data we ever receive is what you deliberately send us:
Feedback you send
The App and Site include a way to send feedback. When you use “Send Feedback” in the App, it opens your own email app with a message that is pre-filled with the App version and your platform (for example, “macOS”, “iPad”, or “iPhone”), so we have the context to help. The Site’s feedback form works the same way — it opens your email app with the message ready to send.
Nothing is sent until you press send in your own email app. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you wrote, and we use it solely to read and respond to your feedback or support request. We keep this correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose, and you can ask us to delete it.
4Backups and iCloud
MerryBlood can write backups of your data as plain CSV files to a folder you choose on your device. This is entirely under your control, and the files stay wherever you put them.
If you choose a folder that is synced by iCloud Drive (or another sync service), that service will sync those files according to its own terms and privacy policy. In that case Apple, not us, handles the syncing and storage — we still have no access to the files. Choosing where your backups live, and securing that location, is up to you.
5The App Store and Apple
MerryBlood is distributed only through the Apple App Store. When you download or buy the App, Apple processes the transaction and may collect information under Apple’s Privacy Policy, which is outside our control.
Apple may make aggregated, anonymised statistics available to us through App Store Connect — such as total downloads or the countries where the App is used. This information does not identify you, and we cannot use it to identify you.
6This website
This Site is a plain set of static pages. It does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, embedded trackers, or third-party scripts, and it does not load resources from outside the Site. It does not collect personal data. The feedback form simply opens your email app, as described above.
7Children’s privacy
MerryBlood is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 13 and over (or 16 and over where a higher age applies, such as in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — and, as explained above, the App does not collect personal information from anyone.
8Your rights
Because the App keeps your data on your device and we don’t collect it, you already have full, direct control: you can access, correct, export, or delete everything from within the App at any time.
For any feedback correspondence you have sent us, and depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or Ukrainian data-protection law), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of that information, and to object to or restrict its use. To exercise any of these rights, email app@merryblood.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9Security
Your data benefits from the security of your own device and operating system. Because nothing is sent to us, there is no central database of your information for anyone to breach. Keeping your device secure — and choosing a safe location for any backups you create — is an important part of keeping your data private.
10International users
The App is available through the App Store internationally. Since the App does not transmit your data off your device, there is no international transfer of your health data by us. Any feedback email you send is handled by your own email provider and reaches us in Ukraine.
11Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version here. Because the App may evolve, we encourage you to check back from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
